AIR// Huidige Resident: Huub Vlemmings
Huub Vlemmings has studied Fine Art at the academy of St. Joost in Breda and Painting at the Frank Mohr Institute in Groningen. The field of interest in which Huub Vlemmings operates moves around and within structures of representation. His visual work focusses on the inner mechanics of painting, its material aspect, image and its linguistic structure: spheres of influence inseparable from cultural and visual - in this case painterly - production. This approach follows methods of appropriation to reflect on painterly reality and sensibility.Paintings are objects which are primarily made for visual and sensual stimulation. At the guest studio of Das Spectrum focus will be on producing new visual work.
To get the best working conditions possible we need to deal with how negative feedback is applied. The original function of negative feedback is to deal with distortion and create a form of stability. There is a huge following of people who are in favor of the complex procedure of the complete removal of negative feedback. Both the eventual removal of negative feedback and negative feedback itself have a similar goal; to stabilize and desensitize the output to fluctuations generated within the signal itself.
